WCS OCE-SEA Challenger Open Qualifier Rules
1.1. Eligible players
All qualifiers are region locked and only players residing in the region of the qualifier are allowed to participate. For this tournament those residency restrictions are for Oceania and South East Asia (SEA).
In order to be eligible to compete, the following criteria must be met by all players:
Proof of Residency: Must be a permanent resident of the Oceania or South East Asian regions or hold a current and valid student VISA (not including a travel VISA). Blizzard discretion is final.
Proof of Validity: Must hold a StarCraft2 account and be able to play on the Australian server unless agreed otherwise by both players. Blizzard discretion is final
League Limitation: only players in Diamond League or above are eligible to enter.
1.2. No show
If an opponent is not present 15 minutes after the match date, the affected player must make a comment about it in the match comments and contact an Admin. This is the fastest way to get a match checked to move on to the next round.
1.3. Protest Deadline
A protest needs to be made within 10 minutes after the game, or before the next game of a series begins. Failure to do this within 10 minutes will render the match closed and rated as played. No late objections will be taken into account.
1.4. Communication & Support
Admins will be on hand to handle any questions or concerns throughout the Tournament. Details on the admin’s Battle.Net ID will be passed out within two days of each competition. It is each player's responsibility to be familiar with who will be administrating any given tournament and make appropriate actions to being able to contact them if necessary.
1.5. Leaving a qualifier
You cannot leave a qualifier without asking an Admin to remove you from the qualifier itself. Always open a support ticket to inform the Admin Staff about it.
1.6. Disqualification
To keep the qualifiers as efficient as possible, Tournament admins reserve the right to disqualify players.
Players have 15 minutes to start from the designated start times of their rounds, or designated times which an admin has set, to be ready to play. If said player fails to appear within 15 minutes of the start of the match, they will forfeit game 1 of their set.
Betting on or during any the event (by a player, team, or on behalf of anyone associate with the team) is off limits. Those partaking will be disqualified from the event in question and will receive a minimum of 6 months of ban.
2. Results
Both participants are responsible for entering the correct match result. Additionally, uploading a screenshot of the result screen to the match sheet would help the Admin Staff verifying the result of the games and, therefore, the match confirmation would be faster.
3. Settings
3.1. Game accounts
All players who want to participate in the StarCraft II qualifiers have to enter their StarCraft II NA Battletag and be able to play on the Australian server.
3.2. Game version
All players have to install the newest version of the game in order to participate in the qualifiers. Updates have to be installed before the tournament starts, so delays will be at a minimum.

4.3. Game preparations
Please resolve any technical difficulties that may occur before a match starts. Connection or Hardware Problems during a match can lead into a disqualification by the Tournament Admins. A Tournament Admin can also take further actions if there is a reason for suspicion.
4.4. Ingame

If a match lasts more than 5 minutes and an issue occurs requiring a restart, players must use the resume from replay feature. If an issue occurs prior to 5 minutes, the match is to be restarted.
4.4.2. Pause Rule
It is forbidden to use the pause feature without an eligible reason to do so.
The pause time shouldn't be longer than 5 minutes in total. If a longer pause is needed, either the opposing player, or a Tournament Admin, has to agree to it. If neither agree, the match will continue after the 5-minute mark.
